Although I didn’t get to use this company, they responded immediately after I requested a quote. We discussed my needs and he offered advice outside of the company. Wow ! What a great business.

Driveways in Colorado Springs

Reinforced to carry the load

Whether you’re replacing a cracked, heaved driveway in one of Colorado Springs’ established neighborhoods or pouring new construction in Briargate or the north end, we build to carry real vehicle weight: a 4″–6″ slab, #3 rebar on 24″ centers, and thickened edges where tires load the concrete hardest.

Colorado’s freeze-thaw is what breaks driveways, so we use 4,000 PSI air-entrained concrete, grade every pour to drain, and cut control joints where they belong — and on the clay-prone lots that actually move, we prep and compact the base so the slab isn’t fighting the soil.

Why our driveways last

Load-rated, drained, and built for freeze-thaw

Reinforced for vehicle load

A 4″–6″ slab with #3 rebar on 24″ centers and thickened edges at the street and garage — sized to carry cars, trucks, and daily in-and-out without cracking.

Graded to drain

We slope the driveway so meltwater and rain run to the street — not toward your garage or foundation, and never ponding into an ice sheet.

Base prep where it’s needed

Some Front Range lots sit on expansive clay; most don’t. Where yours moves, we prep and compact a proper base — and where it doesn’t, we don’t sell you base you don’t need.

Our process

How your Colorado Springs driveways get built

The same clear steps on every job — you’ll know what’s happening and why.

01

Site & soil evaluation

We check the sub-grade, drainage, and how the driveway loads, then spec slab thickness and reinforcement for your site.

02

Tear-out & haul-off

Old, cracked, or heaved concrete is broken out and hauled away, down to a clean, workable sub-grade.

03

Sub-grade & base prep

We grade and compact the sub-grade — adding a compacted base course on the clay-prone sites that need it.

04

Forming & rebar

Forms set to line and grade, #3 rebar on 24″ centers, with thickened edges at the apron and garage.

05

Pour & finish

4,000 PSI air-entrained concrete, finished to your texture (broom is standard), with control joints cut to control cracking.

06

Cure, seal & clean-up

Proper cure, optional sealer, and a clean site — backed by a 1-year structural crack warranty.

Common questions

Colorado Springs driveways FAQ

How long does it take to install a concrete driveway?
Most residential driveways take 1–3 days depending on size and complexity. That includes removing existing material (if needed), base preparation, forming, pouring, and finishing. Decorative options like stamping add about half a day.
How long before I can drive on my new driveway?
We recommend waiting a minimum of 7 days before driving on new concrete, but ideally 14 for best results. You can walk on it after 24–48 hours. Full cure strength (4,000+ PSI) is reached at 28 days, but the driveway is safe to use well before that.
Will my concrete driveway crack?
All concrete develops small cracks over time — it’s the nature of the material. But a properly installed driveway with correct base prep, control joints, and reinforcement will have minimal, controlled cracking. We engineer our driveways specifically for Colorado’s conditions.
How thick should a concrete driveway be?
We install residential driveways at 4″ thick minimum, with 5–6″ in areas that see heavy vehicles (RVs, trucks, trailers). The thickness is determined during our site evaluation based on your specific use.
Do I need to seal my concrete driveway?
Sealing is optional but can extend the life and appearance of your driveway. If you want it, we recommend waiting 28 days after the pour and reapplying every 2–3 years. We can seal it for you or recommend quality products for DIY.
Can you match my existing concrete or home style?
Yes. We offer a wide range of colors and finishes. Exact matching of old concrete is difficult (cured concrete looks different than fresh), but we can get very close and help you choose a finish that complements your home.
