Although I didn’t get to use this company, they responded immediately after I requested a quote. We discussed my needs and he offered advice outside of the company. Wow ! What a great business.

Walkways in Colorado Springs

Safe, clean, and built to code

From front-entry paths and garden walks to public sidewalks and steps, we build flatwork with consistent width, even joints, and a slip-resistant broom finish. Level, well-drained walkways aren’t just better looking — they’re safer year-round.

We pour 4,000 PSI air-entrained concrete reinforced for our climate, set proper joint spacing to control cracking, and finish edges cleanly so the walk looks sharp and sheds water — steps and stoops get footings sized for Colorado’s frost depth.

What makes a walkway last

Compliant, safe, and sharp-looking

Code-compliant & accessible

We build sidewalks, walks, and approaches to local code, with the widths, slopes, and detectable edges your project requires.

Non-slip finish

A consistent broom finish gives grip in rain, snow, and ice — important on any Colorado walkway or set of steps.

Clean joints & edges

Correct control-joint spacing and crisp edging keep walks looking sharp and steer any cracking to the joints, not across the path.

Our process

How your Colorado Springs walkways get built

The same clear steps on every job — you’ll know what’s happening and why.

01

Layout & measure

We lay out the path, walk, or steps for width, slope, and any code requirements, and mark the run.

02

Demo & excavate

Old, cracked, or heaved concrete removed and hauled off; excavation to the depth the walk or steps need.

03

Sub-grade prep

We prep and compact the sub-grade — with a base course on the clay-prone sites that need it, and footings for steps.

04

Form & reinforce

Forms set to a clean line and grade, reinforced as the walk or steps require.

05

Pour, finish & joint

4,000 PSI air-entrained concrete, non-slip broom finish, clean edges, and control joints cut to spec.

06

Cure & clean-up

Proper cure, site left clean, and a 1-year structural warranty.

Common questions

Colorado Springs walkways FAQ

How wide should a front walkway be?
For a main entry walk we recommend 4 ft minimum — wide enough for two people side by side, and the right scale for most homes. Secondary paths can be narrower (2–3 ft).
How long until I can walk on new concrete?
Light foot traffic is usually safe after 24 hours. We recommend avoiding heavy use for 48–72 hours. The concrete keeps strengthening over 28 days, but normal walking won’t damage it after the first day.
Can you fix just part of my sidewalk?
Yes — we can replace individual sections without redoing the whole walkway. New concrete won’t perfectly match old concrete in color, so we’ll talk through your options and what makes sense for your situation.
Do I need a permit for a sidewalk?
In most cases, replacing an existing walk in the same location doesn’t require a permit. New walkways or changes to drainage may, depending on your municipality — we’ll help you figure out what’s needed.
How do you handle tree roots?
Tree roots are a common cause of sidewalk damage. Options include rerouting the walk, installing a root barrier, or consulting an arborist about root pruning. We’ll assess your site and recommend the best approach.
What causes sidewalk cracks?
Common causes are settling from poor base prep, tree-root pressure, freeze-thaw, and heavy loads. Good base prep, control joints, and the right thickness minimize cracking significantly.
Do you pour concrete steps and stoops?
Yes — steps, front stoops, and porch landings are a core part of our work. We build them with 4,000+ PSI concrete and rebar, with proper footings sized for Colorado’s frost depth, and can match existing concrete or add stamping or integral color.
How much do concrete steps cost in Colorado Springs?
Step cost depends on the number of steps, width, and whether a landing or stoop is included, and steps are usually part of a larger walkway or entry project (our project minimum is $6,500). We provide free on-site estimates with exact pricing for your project.
